You are invited to a seminar for the community and voluntary sector to consider the implications of exciting new research. This research, by Brian Harvey, is an account and analysis of the experience of the funding relationship between the state and voluntary and community organisations engaged in public policy advocacy in Ireland. It tells the story of the voluntary and community side of the funding relationship, with the relationship analysed on a continuum under the headings of the state support, inhibition and suppression of advocacy.
