European Disability Forum Survey on Cancer Screening and Care for Persons with Disabilities

As part of a health study that the European Disability Forum are supporting, they have launched a survey on access to cancer screening and care for persons with disabilities. The aim of the survey is to access to cancer screening, diagnosis, treatment, care and clinical trials for persons with disabilities.

Target
- persons with disabilities who have been screened for cancer
- persons with disabilities diagnosed and treated for cancer, including through clinical trials
Languages
The survey is available in English, Irish and all other EU national languages
Length
Approximately 10-20 minutes to complete.
Privacy and Data Security
All answers are anonymous, and all data gathered will be stored securely and accessed for research purposes only by the research team. The results will be reported at the aggregate level only.
Duration
The survey will remain open until 8 October 2024.
Accessibility
The survey platform was chosen for its accessibility features and was piloted across digital tools (computer, phone, tablet, laptop) by persons with different disabilities. Easy-to-read versions are available for every official EU language, Norwegian and Icelandic.
Impact
The survey results will feed into the European Cancer Inequalities Registry, providing a better understanding of access to screening and care, and the impact of cancer for persons with disabilities. Similarly, data will help to inform guidance to Member States on increasing access to healthcare for persons with disabilities.
