The DFI Podcast Episode One on the Cost of Disability

Welcome to Episode One of The DFI Podcast, the new podcast from the Disability Federation of Ireland (DFI). 

In this episode we are looking at the extra costs associated with disability. We hear from John McDonald, Co Manager of DFI member organisation Waterford Centre for Independent Living about the challenges of providing their services to disabled people as well as the extra costs of having a disability.

We also hear from self-advocate Leigh Gath on the excessive costs she faced when having a vehicle adapted for her use. 

DFI's senior policy advocate Fleachta Phelan gives an overview of some of the stats and the figures we have on the Cost of Disability.
