DFI's Response to Ukraine Crisis
DFI is working to ensure adequate supports are in place for disabled people fleeing the war in Ukraine and seeking protection in Ireland.
We will continue to monitor the response from all agencies at European, national and local levels and communicate any updates with our members. We will also be advocating on behalf of our members for the assistance that they will need in order to provide the supports and services to people arriving from Ukraine.
DFI will also be advocating for Ireland to provide support to those people with disabilities who have remained in Ukraine.
DFI is representing our members on the recently formed HSE Rapid Response Disabilities Group for people with disabilities arriving to Ireland from Ukraine. Please get in touch with us on info@disability-federation.ie with any issues you would like raised with this group.
